We were all wrong because we were mislead from the very beginning.
Armstrong went from being the only athlete (okay, other than Wayne Gretzke) that I idolized. As far as I'm concerned now, he's just another lying junkie scumbag who cheated his way to the top. May he die friendless and alone for what he did to us all.
I am sick and tired of all this misinformation. yes lance armstrong used performance enhancements, everyone does. Every single sport most all the athletes. Ever notice the fighters who come into MMA from the olympics are another level above the rest? They have access to better quality steroids. And the technology for testing these drugs is maybe 10 years behind the advancements of these drugs.
You need to look no further than the shot put team of any country. There is a minimum distance you have to be able to throw the weight just to make the team, problem is the distance exceeds any distance a person can naturally throw the shot put.
Its like jumping more than twice your height, frogs can do it, humans cant... Not without drugs.
nothing wrong with it, drugs + hard work + good genetics makes inspiring stories like lance armstrong and usain bolt and marion jones and thousands of athletes out there.
If you dont think everyone does performance enhancements then your just blind.
I have to agree. If you know anything about human nature, you know that everyone will cheat if given the opportunity.
At the time he beat all the testing, so many believed him with the info we had at the time. But why is there talk of jail time, when the real criminals, like John Corzine, Timmy Geitner,Paulson, (you don't have enough space for me to name all of them) and the money changers get away with it openly and brag about it. The govt-media complex uses stories like these as a distraction.

You raise good questions about why Jon Corzine, Tim "Tax Cheat" Geitner, et al, have evaded criminal charges, let alone jail time. I guess if you're rich and have the right connections, then a different set of rules apply to you...

Anyone who has been involved in sport was not surprised by this. PEDs are a part of sports, period. There is also this ignorant notion by the masses that they themselves are only a few shots of test away from greatness, nothing could be further from the truth. Most Americans don't have the willpower to take the fork out of their mouth, let alone actually train for something. Drugs or not, to be at the top you have to push yourself further and harder than anyone.
